The Capricorn New Moon is coming up on January 16th. At this time, the Sun, Moon and Venus come together to create a potent opportunity for manifestation. This is the time for you to commit to whatever projects, people, long-term efforts that will sustain you in the years to come. Be it the founding of a business, a marriage proposal, getting a loan from the bank – whatever it is – this is the time to commit.

Capricorn´s energy does not believe in quick-shortcuts to the top. It requires a steady, long-term approach that gives you gradual growth over a period of time. Whilst slower, its influence goes deeper and lasts for a far longer period. The test of success with a Capricorn is not in how creatively you think, but how willing you are to stick the course and put up with routine you may consider dull – perhaps even uninspired. But to Capricorn, it´s the end result that matters.

In climbing to the summit, the mountain goat does not really need to try new approaches. But to stick with its strategy and repeat it. Every moment. Every day.

And then it finally reaches where it needs to.

This energy is all about structure, order, willpower and discipline. For some it might seem boring, but honestly – stability would be a welcome change.

The seeds you set through this New Moon allow you to set the tone of your experience during the entire Saturn-in-Capricorn transit. Whilst we do have a Super-Blue-Blood-Moon-Lunar-Eclipse coming up at the end of the month, I would advise greater focus on this upcoming New Moon.

Control is a key concern of Capricorn, and whilst growth and success are appreciated – aim to do so in a way that is sustainable. For the Neptune-in-Capricorn generation (1984-1998), the onus is on the individual to align material growth with spiritual values.

The video describes this transit and some of the concerns that arise for the spiritualist seeking direction at this pivotal time.

In essence, there´s not much I can add to this video and writeup. Work with the energy of this New Moon to reveal what or whom you are willing to commit to. And work towards it. Slowly, steadily and honourably.

The Capricorn New Moon – conjunct Venus – goes exact at 00:04 17th Jan 2018 (UTC time). That´s in 66 minutes from the time of posting.

how long does this astrological window of opportunity last? is it about actually setting the seeds now or more about figuring out? thank you

I wrote a comment already and it doesn’t seem to have been posted, so sorry if this will end up a double post.
I definitely felt today’s great, steady-paced window of opportunity. my questions are: 1) what’s the duration of this window of opportunity based on your knowledge and 2) was today in your opinion ideally a day of actually anchoring one’s plans and setting a direction through actions, or more of a day of introspection and figuring things out? thank you.

    1. Dr. Bairavee Balasubramaniam PhD says:

I would say this lasts a while – because it sets the tone for the Saturn in Cappy transit – just as Saturn-Sun conjunct on the Solstice did. For some , it´s the deciding day, and for others, it is setting the intention as to which direction to take. That _really_ depends on your level of consciousness, location, chart -and place in the journey. The easiest thing is to make a decision -that´ll tell you what you really want or need to do. Some need to act , some need to stay still, sometimes both.
